Simple Present Tense

We speak Simple presnt tense in different ways they are:
  • Repeated actions
  • Regular and habitual Actions
  • Universal Truth
  • Newspaper heading
  • Fixed future Schedule
  • Demonstrations
  • Commentaries etc

NOTE
Verb+1 form for Plural subjects
Verb+s Form for singular subjects


Positive Statements:-
  1. I play cricket every Sunday.
  2. We work in an M.N.C.
  3. You eat non-veg.
  4. They live at Mehdipatnam.
  5. Students learn English.
  6. Politicians forget their promises etc.
Plural Nouns
  • Planets revolve around the sun.
  • Monkeys love bananas.
  • Some teachers pass time.
  • Plants give oxygen.

  • No, they don’t give discount.

3. Do they pay the rent regularly?
  • Yes, they pay the rent regularly.
  • No, they don’t pay rent regularly.

4. Do your parents support you?
  • Yes, my parents support me.
  • No, my parents don’t support me.

5. Do we work hard?
  • Yes, we work hard.
  • No, we don’t work hard.

6. Do I look handsome?
  • Yes, I look handsome.
  • No, I don’t look handsome.

  2. She doesn't know me.
  3. It does not give good mileage.
  4. Kiran kumar doesn't speak Telugu well.

NOTE

News paper headings always in simple present.
Future fixed schedule always in simple present .
Comentarys and Demonstrations use in simple present.
Examples:-
      News paper headings:-
1)    Prime Minister visits Hyderabad.
2)    India wins the match by 2 wicket.
Future Fixed Schedule:- 
1)    Colleges reopen on 20th of January 2014.
2)    Prime Minister visits Hyderabad tomorrow.
3)    Annual exams start on 26th of March.
