Auxiliary Verb
The three most common auxiliary verbs
be, do and have
- I am Eating = Eating is main verb. Am is the auxiliary verb.
- We have played = Played is the main verb. We is the auxiliary verb.
- Do you drink? = Drink is the main verb. Do is auxiliary verb.
Do / does / did
Do is common to form a questions and making negatives.Did is the past tense of do and does.
In statements
- We do our level best.
- She Does the work.
- they do the home work..
- we do hard work.
- He/she does the project work.
In questions
- Does He know your brother?
- Does she work here?
- Do they come early?
- Does he come form india?
- Does he/she practise to play?
In negative sentences
- He does not he (doesn't)
- They do not. (they don't)

Be = am / is / are
Be can be used as auxiliary verb as well as main verb.
Is shows that present action is happening now and is going to happen in the future.
Be is also use to make passives.
Are used for they and we.
Was is used to the past tense of am and is.
Were we used to you,they,we

Have = has / had
Have is used for Present Perfect tense and it always follows the past participle.Has is used to third person for singular.
Had is used to past tenses of past perfect tense. it explain the action that began in the past and still continuing into the present or it stopped recently.
In statements
We have car.You have good knowledge.
They have had it before.
We have called you two times.
He/she has lived in U.S.A.
In negative sentences
We have not. (We haven't/ we've not)
I have not. (I haven't/I've not)
they have not. (They haven't/they've not)
You have not. (You haven't/You've not)

Common auxiliary verbs are:Shall , Should, may ,might, could, can, must, ought to, used to etc..
These auxiliary verbs are also known as model verbs. we use this verbs for possibility, necessity, and obligation.
For example:
Suma is late. She might be preparing. (possibility)We should clean our house today. (obligation)
we must wear a tie to school. (necessity)
